Good day, internet.Presenting the top 3 fighting games Flandre loves.
#1 Melty Blood Act Cadenza Ver.B
Featuring one of Tougeki's games, Melty Blood Act Cadenza or MBAC sports a reflex based gameplay that encourages players to switch techniques on the fly.
Based on Type-moon's top selling visual novel 'Tsukihime', this game appeals to both seasoned gamers and fans alike.
Throw out you hadou kens and berserker barrages, this game is balanced in such a way that command skills are 1: not flashy 2: really fast 3: combo friendly 4: high prorate 5: low priority
MBAC is all about strategy, combo juggling and mostly reflexes. Eye-hand coordination is with utmost importance.
Sample scenario. Player A runs toward Player B. A does a very predictable jumping attack. B uses ex-shield (needs PERFECT TIMING) then presses, 9 a,b,c - 9,a,b,c then a command throw for over 2500 damage. Not bad for a simple counter against a very predictable Player A.
Competitive play is easy to find. You'll easily find yourself being pummeled by asians and pawning westerners (personal experience) ;D
#2 Scarlet Weather Rhapsody [Touhou Project]
Team Shanghai Alice together with Tasogare Frontier recently released this lovely game based on the very popular touhou project.
Loosely based on the touhou games, this particular game perfectly captures danmaku (curtain-fire) from the shooting games into the fighting game scene.
Since it is near-impossible to include all touhou characters (story-wise and program-wise) a lot of characters will have to wait until the next Touhou 1X.5 game, too bad.
Beginner-friendly and lovely characters aside, this game is competitive as well with a lot of tournaments being held these past few weeks and weeks to come. Enjoyment is sure-fire since it's Touhou! Take it easy!
#3 Gleam of Force [Glove on Fight] by French Bread
The makers of Ragnarok Battle Offline are at it again!
Gleam of Force or GOF2 is maybe the easiest fighting game you will ever play. It's so easy, my 4th grade and 5th grade sisters beat my 20+ year old friends!
There are no quarter circle forwards or 360 command throws. This game is so easy (but exciting and technical if learned properly) you can just pick it up and have fun without knowing the controls!
DL it and find out.
For comments, suggestions and links, just ask and i'll give 'em to yah!
If yah need opponents, me and my sisters (and brother) are ready to fight anytime. These three games have netplay so we can fight anytime. See you on my next installment.. Touhou shooting games or maybe Fall anime recommended watch list!
JAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~
